Burton Stone Inn - York

We stayed here for 3 days exploring York. The room was lovely and clean and we were offered a fan as it was so hot. Gratefully received. There is a small outside terrace on the roof and breakfast amazing. Very friendly hosts who provided us with a map of York and suggested places to visit. It was only a 10 min walk from the centre of York so ideal. We will return if we are in the area again. Covid precautions excellent.

Independent or Multiple give me Inde everytime. We were warmly greeted at this family run hotel which is superbly managed by Michal and Aggi and not forgetting 100 mph George. He's a diamond. The entire establishment is spotlessly clean at all times and the rooms are securely segregated from the main body of the hotel. The owners were very happy to offer advice and pointed out different routes to walk into the centre around 10 minutes away, as well as the beautiful Homestead park nearby. We found everything about the hotel very relaxing, especially in the bar area, where we enjoyed drinks from the very well sticked bar. Our main objective was take time out to visit National Trust sites nearby, and we will certainly make Burton Stone Inn our base for further visits.

The owners of this restaurant have a lot of pride in their establishment, which is located just a 10-minute walk from the walled old city center of York. The hotel has plenty of parking, and has been beautifully restored while staying true to its status as a listed heritage building. The breakfast is delicious and can accommodate any dietary restrictions. The restaurant is conveniently located near all the historic sights and is within easy walking distance.

We found the location ideal, a short walk in to town. Comfy bed, fluffy towels, amazing breakfast and a lovely couple running the place. 10/10 from us!

Amazing eclectic place with wonderful hosts and bar staff. Our room as no 7 which was a family room with loads of space. Bathroom clean and tidy and bed linen was beautiful. The breakfast is to die for with locally sourced produce including delicious bacon and wonderful marmalade. Car parking on site and less than a 10 minute walk to York Minster. We will definitely visit again as this couple deserve to get through the reduction in visitors due to Covid 19. Good luck x
