Lattuca's Sub - York

Was hung up for asking to speak with manager. Manager made an agreement to give refund for rotton food. I'm a old lady on limited income. Returned food not eaten but 2 bites. Spoke with manager she agreed refund, then once I came back with food was refused refund. Horrible service. I should have known as the store looked horrible when I got there. None is wearing name tags, hair nets gloves. Food: 1

Well I was excited to go to this place, due to a friend's recommendation. I ordered a SUB and tried some pizza. The pizza was amazing, but when the guy making my sub went to the register to help another customer quick, and a blonde haired guy took over making my sub and was touching the contents with his bare left hand. I brought it to his attention, but he acted like he didn't touch it even though I looked right at him as he was doing it and I was mentioning it. Instead of making a scene I just gave the sandwich to a homeless guy outside. I was planning on coming here every weekday for lunch on my way to work, and sometimes a pizza for passing by on my way home, but I don't think this is a great idea anymore. Might only have been a $10 sub for me, but for this place they lost a possible M-F daily customer for their subs due to not wanting to take the chance of this happening again. This is how people get sick and spread germs through food and possibly cleaning chemicals into food. I do not like gambling with my food. The first guy who I am assuming is the owner was nice, communicative, and the place is your traditional pizza joint, but I disagree with the way cold food is prepared there and it was going to be the main reason I was going there. I just got off work and was exhausted and very tired, but normally I would've asked for my money back or a new SUB. So both of our loss I guess... So rather frustratingly-disappointing especially since the owner was very nice.

I've lived in West York for a long time and Lattuca's was always a favorite of mine. When the new owners first took over I ordered food and was extremely disappointed that they had changed the quality of their food so much. Portions were smaller and definitely not the same. Tonight I decided to give them another try hoping that they had improved things. Not only was my order incorrect (they put lettuce and tomatoes on a cheese steak that was only supposed to have onions, cheese and mayo) but the food had very little flavor, the bread was very dry and there was such a small amount of meat. The mozzarella sticks also had no flavor and weren't completely cooked. The cheese was not melted and the marinara sauce was cold and half the size it use to be. I really think they should have changed the name when they acquired it because this is not the Lattuca's we knew and loved.

This is the place to get a great tasting sub. We come to York once a year for the Max Show and we always come here. Staff an patrons have always been super friendly and welcoming. Don't pass this place up! Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
