The Fig Barrel Pub - York

We visited York for the first time and was recommend the Fig Barrel by Samantha who works at another restaurant and bar.We lucked out with a live jazz band. They have all types of whiskey and bourbon. With Chips help, the bartender, we had three flights each of bourbon. I was intruduced with possibly a new favorite.Chip and the rest of the staff were awesome.

Good food, good atmosphere. The steak was really good but it was over cooked.Food: 4/5

Friendly, local feel in this downtown bar/bistro. The food was great and reasonably priced, our server attentive, and the atmosphere was fun but not too noisy. I had a slightly spicy shrimp and grits and my son ordered a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. There’s a full bar here as well, with special cocktails (plus all the normal things one might order). There’s a big over in the back for hearth-fired pizza (which they are known for).

Really cool inside.Couple things were out on the menu but the waitress didn't know until after we ordered. Food took a while, but was good. Had wings, mac n cheese, loaded tots.Pineapple upside down martini is really good!Also if you have an open kitchen. Maybe your cook shouldn't be eating as he is making our food?

Absolutely a great time! Love the atmosphere and the staff, Was at the bar and the bar food was outstanding as well as the service. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
