Kim Son Chinese - Yukon

If I'm in Yukon, this has always been one of my favorite dining spots. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and it has never let me down. Edited on June 29, 2021: I can't believe I've likely just ordered from my favorite Chinese restaurant (truly, my favorite restaurant overall) for the last time. Kim Son has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. We've shared countless wonderful family dinners around its tables. There will never be another restaurant quite like Kim Son, and I will deeply miss both the people and the atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you to the owners and staff over the years for all the memories and culinary experiences!

I ordered takeout and was impressed by how quickly it was prepared. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It's a relief to enjoy food that's not pre-made or sitting around in a dirty setting, which has been a common disappointment in other places. I highly recommend Kim Son for an authentic Chinese dining experience! We ordered a beef dish, two chicken dishes, lo mein, and some appetizers and soups. Everything was cooked to perfection, clearly reflecting the pride they take in their food. This is definitely my new favorite spot, and I'll be back whenever I'm in the mood for Chinese cuisine. Plus, a nice bonus is that there was no MSG headache afterwards. They really know what they're doing!

The restaurant was very clean and featured a spacious layout. You can choose from à la carte menu items, priced individually, or opt for the all-you-can-eat option, which is $8.99 for adults, $4.99 for children aged 2 to 4, and free for children under 1. Takeout is also available at menu prices. The prices I received for the food came from our waitress. The dinner I had was delicious, although some buffet items were running low; however, if you ask a waitress, they are happy to replenish them. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and it’s a great place for large families or gatherings.
