Marisqueria Yolanda - ZIHUATANEJO

I went to Yolanda's expecting great seafood because it was packed with people earlier when I walked by. I wasn't disappointed in fact it exceeded my expectations. I had shrimp cooked with garlic and it was delicious. Nice atmosphere and good service too. I will definitely go back.

This was without doubt the worst food I have ever had in Mexico in over 17 years, including 3 years of living there and travelling over much of the country. We had two of the three especialidades de la casa: enchiladas de camaron and cabrilla con salsa verde. Both were unnecessarily over-chillied, presumably to disguise the flavour or lack thereof. The fish, when I could find it under the gunk, was almost exclusively skin and skeleton and little bones. The enchiladas contained under-cooked shrimps, which seemed to have been half-heartedly stirred in tomato ketchup, and were covered in authentic Mexican Kraft-type 'cheese ' slices. To top off this delightful dining experience, there was a punch-up at an adjoining table. It must be said that there was no extra charge for this entertainment. Later that evening we thought we were both going to throw up, but this did not come to pass, and settled into a night of menacing discomfort.

Parece ser un lugar muy popular pero solo por los precios, tardaron demasiado tiempo en servirnos y la verdad es que no valió la pena la espera.

Fuimos con amigos después de una jornada de pesca, eramos 6, nos atendieron de inmediato, excelente el servicio, el dueño siempre al pendiente de todo, los precios son muy buenos pero los alimentos y bebidas son de lo mejor, en tantas veces que habiamos visitado Zihuatanejo nunca habíamos encontrado un lugar con marisco fresco, rico y barato, después de mucho tiempo probé nuevamente un coctel de abulón que estaba delicioso, pedimos un consome de pulpo (muy rico) y una mariscada la cual traía camarones preparados de diversas formas, pulpo, caracol, tiritas de pescado, y po rúltimo pedimos unas camaronillas, pescadillas y otras de pulpo, todo excelente, de igual manera de bebidas pedimos una cerveza con clamato preparado que incluye una varita de tamarindo y jugos de limón y naranja, por último un trago de mezcal.
