The City Beer Hall - Albany

Great service, food and beer selection. Grateful for this place on a Sunday in Albany.

Ordered a beer I've had many times before, listed on the menu as a 16oz can. I was brought a 8-10oz pour in a glass, no biggie I figured they accidentally brought me the other beer from that brewery that was listed under the drafts. When ordering my next drink, I mentioned that I didn't think the first beer was the right drink, that it wasn't a big deal, but could I have the one originally ordered in the can? The waitress brought me another a 8-10oz pour in a glass and then shoved the order ticket in my face to prove that she put it in correctly. She told me the bartenders pour it from the can into the glass, which I specifically asked for it in the can and a 16oz beer doesn't fit into a 8oz glass. So they charged me full price for a half a can...twice. A guy at the table next to me had the beer I ordered in the can, so they obviously did have it. My friend with me also got his drink order messed up each time. I typically enjoy this place, but I've had issues with the service the last few times I've been here.

Burger was very good but it came with nothing, not even chips or fries. Service was atrocious. Maybe 6 other people in there, yet it took almost 10 minutes to get a beer, and longer to get a refill. Polite waiter but terribly slow. Don't go if you are in a hurry.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for brunch! The service is friendly and the menu offers a wide selection of options.

We sat in the wide hallway leading to the outside dining area. The noise level was way lower than the bar area. Zoie was our waitress and she was attentive and pleasant. Our beet pear goat cheese salad was outstanding! We split a double cheeseburger, fries, and some collard greens. The collard greens were smoky, salty, better than the greens we had in Mobile Alabama. Wednesday through Friday before 6 PM happy our drinks are priced just right. The food was so good we bought beers for the 5 man cooking team! Bravo!! We’ll be back
