The Harbor Grill Orchid Lounge

We came to Block Island just for a half a day so we stopped here to have lunch before getting back on the ferry. It is in a super touristy place (as could be expected) but the seafood was super fresh and delicious. We sat outside on the veranda to enjoy the weather and view of the harbor. We had the Seafood Louie, which is kind of a take on shrimp and grits but also has scallops. It was a little salty for me but the concept and the flavors were good. My friend had the hot lobster roll which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our server was super friendly and great. Also if you don't drink alcohol you can ask them to create a mocktail. I had a delicious faux-jito. Definitely a good choice especially if you have limited time.

For years I have come to Harbor Grill especially for her Lobster Quesadilla almost every summer. Stuffed with pancakes and ankles, it's different from everywhere! It is a highlight of the trip to Block Island! So, you could imagine my disappointment when I found it was taken from the menu with a change of property. We decided to go for dinner anyway, and the newer Restaurant Personal knew nothing about this old menu item. But our waitress, Kübi, was nice enough to ask about it in the kitchen. For our pleasure, chef Andy knew exactly what we wanted and decided that he could whip our old favorite for us! Not only that, but he personally came from the kitchen to present and chat us. While the property has changed, Chef Andy has been working her kitchen for over 15 years and is still preparing food as well as we remember! And if you hurry, this question asked the kitchen to bring it back as a special one this weekend! We can only hope that it will find its way back to the menu that has finally returned to BI for our next trip! Thank you. Chef!

If on the island! The staff was knowledgeable and extremely friendly, the food is absolutely delicious and the BEST on the island! We had the oysters, the tuna pot, the beet and goat cheese salad, the delicious fish sandwich and the absolutely best crab cake I had in a while! The cocktails were great, I had the missionary decline and my friend had a glass of the Italian white mix. Beautiful jewel for lunch, breakfast and dinner! We will definitely be back!

YUMMY we were a little hesitant to hit this place because of its location Sometimes great location can mean meh food, but not true here. We loved the salads and appetizers on the menu Service was fun and friendly and it was just lovely to sit out on the wide front porch and enjoy some time out of the sun! And, if you don't want a whole big meal, the apps are great and the drinks are fun! Try it out
