Best sushi place I've been there before, hands down. I was in my fair part of sushi restaurants in san diego and boise and come here is always a tasty bite!
1st time at this place. the food was good for sushi. rice protein ratio not what I expected about 75/25 rice to protein. consider some food safety and cross-contamination problems not easy to overlook when food is stored and prepared before them. most protein seemed to have an appropriate look. this place would have earned a solid 3 stars, except the personal is amazing, with customer interface earning a fourth star on its own faust. some food safety training is strongly recommended. the owner has to make a deep cleanliness on the square and a refreshment would not hurt. this is the nice place that could be 5 stars with a little investment in personal sanitary training and portion compensation. thanks to the staff.
My man and I love this place after 12 years in japan it is our opinion that this is the best sushi in the treasure valley. all you can eat buffet is worth the money, and the sushi kitchens are very qualified to make delicious, mouth-watering dishes. the rice is made fresh and that makes the difference in taste. I took these pictures to tease my children (they all lived with us in japan). eating tastes as good as it looks.
Saw the reviews and decided to try the All You Can Eat lunch. Another reviewer had provided pricing but looks like it was 3 years ago (was $19 AYCE but now is $23 for lunch, $30 for dinner! . Not wanting to be rude after seeing the price, I figured I would give it a chance. I've gone to several AYCE throughout the valley and reviewed a lot of them. Seeing the sushi offered at lunch, you would need to eat 2.7 sushi rolls to break even.I ordered the Rainbow, IOU and Tuna. The Rainbow looked beautiful but unfortunately there was a sauce that I was NOT a fan of. To describe it, the sauce (red/brown was reminiscent of the ravioli sauce of Chef Boyardee. I originally thought it would be sriracha sauce but it's something different I'd recommend they skip that sauce completely because it ruined the roll. The IOU wasn't the best either. While the service was fast, unfortunately the sushi was a bit lack luster for that price point. They offered miso with the AYCE but it's an attempt to limit how much you eat.Perhaps my expectations were high since the price was similar to Yoi Tomo but there is a massive gap for what you are paying for. Hobestly, I am really bummed as I was hopeful for a great lunch experience. I cannot recommend it.
