Meat Cove Welcome Center - CAPSTICK

The drive was a bit long, but the restaurant had a nice view. The seafood chowder was delicious, and they also had good wifi and beer.

Escape from the hustle and bustle of civilization and journey to the secluded Chowder House at the edge of the world. After a scenic drive down a dusty road, we arrived at the recently renovated restaurant and enjoyed delicious chowder on the outdoor patio overlooking the coves. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend it.

This restaurant may have some information available, but we were unable to order food or receive any guidance because the door was left wide open and there was no staff present. Good luck!

The local seafood is as fresh as you can get. Great crab and lobster. Loved the food and the people.

We only went to Meat Cove because the hikes in the national park were all closed due to fire danger, but wow it was so worthwhile! The hike to Cape St Lawrence from the campground is one of the coolest hikes I have ever been on - primarily because the end of it makes one feel like they are in Ireland. The grassy bluffs are beautiful and the animals roam free. I wish we had gone earlier in the day so that we could have spent more time hiking along the bluffs.
