Keeper's Quarters - Carbondale

I live in Carbondale and I have heard great things about this restaurant. I have dined in restaurants all over the country but this place was overpriced and overrated. I paid $14 for a burger and fries and the portion size was small. We also had to wait half an hour for our food. The atmosphere was nice with plants and books everywhere, but I could see into the kitchen and saw a worker cooking and touching food without gloves. The staff was friendly, but I don't think I will be returning.

This is the top restaurant in Carbondale. All servers are attractive, friendly, and personable, especially the two Kat's! I highly recommend trying the best Reuben in Carbondale!

We love the quarters of keeper and are so deprived lunch is back! I had the reubs today and it was slammin’! it has such a great atmosphere with a library of cookbooks to live through and many beautiful plants. 100% recommended to check it out!

I recently visited this restaurant while in Chicago and it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had, even compared to those in the north. The drinks, appetizers, and main dishes were all outstanding. I highly recommend trying the hummus and the Cuban sandwich. The service was exceptional, especially Harleigh who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The entire team here has set a new standard for the level of service and quality that a restaurant should strive for. Do not hesitate to dine here, just go for it.

Are there recently after a long Covid hiatus, and what a treat. Happy to see some staff still there who were there at our last visit. Food was very tasty, generous, and creative, but comfortable. Highly recommend.
