Írjon visszajelzéstI read that service was slow but worth it. I did not find service slow at all. In fact, I felt our waitress was very attentive and our salads and then sushi meals were served in a timely manner. Food was great and reasonably priced. I would go back again!
We had read reviews that indicated our food might be slow to come out, but that once it came, it would be delicious. This was in fact our experience. Fortunately, the initial wait for food to start to appear was buffered by our service. He brought us some sparkling Sake on the house as well as some pieces of Salmon Belly that melted in our mouths like butter. When the food did come, it did not disappoint. The Wasabi roll packs a punch and was delicious. Also, the pork ramen dish we had was the best ramen that we've had in Charlottesville. A bit of a wait.... yes. Worth it? Yes!
We had a lovely romantic dinner for Valentine's Day. The food was incredible, and our waiter was very helpful with the ordering process, offering suggestions that we hadn't thought of but ended up really enjoying. The sushi was obviously very fresh, and the atmosphere was simple yet comfortable. We will definitely come back whenever we're in the mood for sushi!
The ramen featured fresh noodles, crisp vegetables, two generous slices of pork, and a rich broth. My only issue was that I wanted more veggies! The toro was incredibly delicious, but the rice was rather ordinary. There were crispy toppings, which I’m not particularly fond of to begin with, and some of them were stale. As for the Dragon Roll, it was cut into pieces, and then fish was placed on top. I was hoping for the delicate presentation you usually find, with sashimi wrapped around the roll. The restaurant is quite small, so don’t expect much privacy or rapid service.
I ordered the tonkotsu (pork-flavored) ramen and was pleased with it, but I have to say the portion was a bit misleading. They served it in an extra-large bowl, but the actual noodles and toppings only filled about 30% of the bowl.
