Moe's Original Bbq Charlottesville

Dang good, family friendly, down home BBQ!!!!! Petey was an all star, the pulled pork was delicious and the sides were great as well. My 18 month is a picky eater and we couldn’t keep her off this BBQ. I will be back and I will be bringing family!!!!

We used Moe’s to cater a graduation party and they were fantastic. From super fast turnaround on their initial proposal to delivery and set-up the customer service was top notch. And to top it off, the turkey and pork barbecue were the best we have had. Great food, great service, all at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? Catering manager Abbie and Moe’s will be our go to vendor for barbecue events moving forward.

We had Moe’s cater our wedding rehearsal dinner. They were on time and had everything already set up before we got there. They were super accommodating. The food was amazing. All of our family and friends enjoyed their meal.

In the old Dragon Lady venue..have had Mo's many times before at office meetings...this time I ordered takeout for Burger Week online ..website said sides would be $2 to go with burger but all I could find was the 3 sides for $8...guess they forgot to add the Burger Week price on the online menu. Picked up my order .it was ready to go with my name on it but the lady coming in said to check my order because they messed hers up ..my order was correct...the Burger was interesting .almost like a meatloaf..spiced with bacon and an onion rings on top...the sides delicious..baked beans..Mac& cheese..potato salad .hey Mo's try to get Riverside's potato salad recipe and you will be top notch on this side...all in all a great place to pick up or eat in...

I had an excellent experience here today, stopped in after getting some blood work done at the UVA hospital. THE SMELL is what hits you first, my mouth was watering before I even read the menu. It's a fast casual order at the front and pick up your food from a window to take to a table (indoor and outdoor seating was available). We were just stopping in for a quick lunch so we each got the pulled pork sandwich with slaw and two sides (potato salad and mac and cheese for me). This is by far the BEST mac and cheese I've ever had from a BBQ place, baked but not too dry, still lots of cheese. And the pork was so fall apart tender, almost didn't need sauce with it, but the house made BBQ is a perfect sweet and spicy you'll want to drown it anyway. I was nervous when it first came out thag the portions wouldnt be filling enough, but i barely finoshed half my meal before I needed a box to take it home. We also ordered some corn bread just to sample a little more from their menu, and it's made with pieces of jalapeños inside. Delicious, but maybe not the jiffy your kids are used to so I'd cation parents on that. Regretted passing over the ribs after everything as they looked AMAZING. Overall my fiance and I had a wonderful experience. We'll definately be back the next time we find ourselves in Charlottesville.
