Sals is not only the best Italian restaurant, but also one of my top favorite spots in Charlottesville. Their menu is crafted from generations of family recipes, infused with love and a genuine wish to bring joy through their food. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff create an atmosphere that transports me back to Italy. If you ask Joellen for a wine recommendation, she will happily suggest the perfect pairing for your meal or taste. The restaurant has been family-owned for many years, with each generation (shout out to Joe!) proudly taking their place in running it, bringing a deep understanding of what great Italian cuisine is all about. I highly recommend this fantastic place!

I needed catering for an event with 40 guests, and Sal's was the obvious choice. They promptly responded to my email and provided thorough answers to all my questions throughout the process. The food was, of course, outstanding, and my guests couldn't stop praising it. It was ready on time, included serving utensils and bread, the portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Joellen was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Sal's for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or to cater your next event. They will be my first call the next time I need catering!
