Subway - Charlottesville

I'm working at Downtown Mall in Charlottesville. Some of the restaurants on or near the shopping center are either too expensive or too time-consuming for a quick lunch. So the few places to get a fast decent lunch are far and little between. This subway is 5 minutes walk from work for me and I had nothing but good experiences at this point. The staff is always friendly and pready. And the food is always fresh and fantastic. I was in other underground locations and had to stop the employees from putting what looked like very bad salad or tomatoes or whatever on my sandwich. I think you don't see how fresh these vegetables are?! But that never happened here. I have nothing but the highest praise for this subway.

This is my FAVORITE subway! They are always clean and they run the place like a top. Before COVID I would stop in after the going to the Y and get either a veggie delite sub or a veggie pattie sub they always had the patty out and didn't have to defrost it (thereby making me wait. You never have to wait long and they often remember my order which I get the same thing almost every single time I go. The people who run the store are always polite and very conscientious. So in conclusion in the town of Charlottesville, the McIntire location is the best IMHO. I have eaten at nearly all of the Subway's in Charlottesville: including Rio Hill Shopping Center location (thumbs up and Pantops (thumbs down there and the one that was at the Exxon on gasoline alley that shut down during COVID and hasn't reopened yet and doesn't appear to planning to. Lesson: eat at McIntire location and you can't go wrong.

This location has good sandwiches and the staff are pretty friendly. It's usually crowded when I go, so it can take a while during lunch hours.

Went there for lunch. Got a combo. Great customer service, bread was fresh and sandwich was good.

My picture taken at 8:24pm on today Sunday November 6 and I walk in and they give me some hand signal that meant closed... Not sure why but their sign says 9pm. Just came down from the fire dept to get a quick sub and they apparently close early.. not coming back to this one anymore
