Olive Garden, The - Chattanooga

What I love about Olive Garden is their consistent approach to the quality of their ingredients and preparation of each dish. I have never been disappointed. Today, I tried the four cheese marinara over angel hair. The sauce was creamy with small cubes of tomato almost like Alfredo meets bisque. Delicious. My mother had the gnocchi soup, which was made from scratch, and declared it very good. We had the spinach cheese dip with homemade chips-outstanding- and the calamari. Our server Dalton was very attentive and the culinary manager Mary rounded on us as well. They are very customer service focused and did not miss a beat to ensure we had a 5-star experience. Our bill for 2 appetizers, an unlimited soup and salad, a build-your-own pasta, and a luncheon Alfredo with coffee and Coke was $62. And we have leftovers for dinner. This is a busy location so I recommend the text ahead system to reserve your place in line.

My family and I LOVE to eat at the Olive Garden for birthdays, Mothers' and Fathers' days, or just any other special occasion. Every time we eat here, the service is great as well as the food. Be sure to check on the waitlist just in case it is busy.

I ordered my usual, shrimp scampi, which was as always, great. I decided to order a $6 take home of the spaghetti for later for the first time. All of this was to-go.When opening the spaghetti box the next day, I realized I had a box of spaghetti with a teaspoon of sauce. Thrown together it appeared. Next time, I will bypass this option.

It has been quite a while since I'd been to Olive Garden and since this last visit, I remember why. After being told there was a 15 minute wait, we actually waited almost 45 minutes. The service was not good at all. A larger party that came in after us was waited on before us. Not that big of a deal when you still get service but that wasn't the case. When we received our order, the food was not hot. Our drinks weren't refilled and our server was constantly catering to the larger party (6 adults) who came in and were seated after us. The server passed us up without even checking on us until we finally got her attention. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, in fact it was almost empty. I snapped a couple of pictures but the entire restaurant looked this way. Our server was serving 2 tables....well really 1 because we were pretty much being ignored. I kept trying to find excuses for such a bad experience but with a nearly empty restaurant... it's kinda hard. No, I don't recommend this Olive Garden location. If you've read my reviews before you know that I don't give bad reviews easily and I don't take it lightly...but I don't expect to visit this Olive Garden again. In fact, I don't have much desire to try any other location either.
