Frank's Plank Road Cafe - Cicero

Pretty good food. Inexpensive lunch. Service was good too. Got my check quickly which was nice. Was still a little hungry when I left.

In town for business and needed some sustenance. Close by and the reviews sounded good. Found by location but I didn't seen any signage to confirm I was at the right place. Actually the only place it could be. Helpful wait staff with the old down home air of a bar restaurant mix. I chose the haddock with a shrimp cocktail app. Both were very remarkable with the shrimp jumbo size and a very tasty home made cocktail sauce with just the right zing. I can honestly say I have never had a better piece of haddock. Wonderfully flaky with mild seasoning (mine was broiled) that melted in your mouth. You will definitely enjoy the food here!

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Despite its unassuming exterior, the food and service were top-notch. I enjoyed a delicious Canadian Thanksgiving meal and noticed that the parking lot was full of local cars, which is always a good sign. Although there was a strong seafood smell, the quality of the food made up for it. I will definitely be returning on my next trip through the area.
