El Charro Fine Mexican Food - Cocoa

I've been going to El Charro for over 25 years and until today it's IS and will always be my favorite Mexican restaurant. I've never been disappointed with the food or service. It's about Rudy and family. A great setup.

I also tried the pig burrito plate, but it was just a tough piece of meat wrapped in a tortilla with American cheese, making it difficult to chew. The chips were hard, and the salsa was bland, lacking any jalapeño for a kick. On the upside, the margaritas were enjoyable. I might consider returning for lunch to try a small beef plate at a lower price, but I wouldn't go back for dinner.

Best Mexican. They have a good mix of Cuban and Mexican influences. If you like hot sauces, make sure to ask them (the Cuban is great), because they are not already sitting on the table.

I've been visiting this restaurant for a long time, and even though I no longer live in the area, I try to come by whenever I can. It's truly one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The tacos are unbeatable, the bowls are made fresh, and the beef in every dish is incredibly flavorful. The empanadas are fantastic as well. They also offer a variety of Cuban dishes that are quite good. If you're considering dining here, I hope this review encourages you to do so, because the food is exceptional and the staff are some of the nicest you'll ever meet.

We dine here 2-3 times a week because it’s just that good! My wife loves the Jalapeno Margarita, and I can’t get enough of the Curtis Dean Plate. We’re more than happy to drive 50 miles round trip to experience this little gem!
