Manci Antique Club - Daphne

This waitress seemed so intent on maximizing her efficiency that she ended up wasting her customers' time, which also backed up orders in the kitchen. I ordered my burger medium well—I really don't like undercooked meat—but it arrived medium rare. I mentioned it to her, and while she did apologize and offered to take it back to cook a bit longer, that kind of fix just doesn’t work for me. (I ended up eating the burger, though I left most of it behind.) The fries were almost burnt—just a tad too crispy. That said, I will give Manci's another try. It usually has good food; I just happened to have a really disappointing experience today.

Great place that's the pub-feel, while also family friendly, i.e. Singo/trivia nights, live music.

We went for Sunday lunch. It was about 11 when we arrived. No place to sit except at the bar. We were greeted very quickly for the amount of business. Drinks came quickly. THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE IN THIS PLACE. I believe one could sit for an extended period of time and still find new stuff to check out. It was a gas station during prohibition that had liquor. It's been in the same location since 1934, I think. Anyway, we got mushrooms for a starter. They were ok. My wife got a BLT and I got a French Dip. The portions are more than adequate. My sandwich was very good. The au jus was warm, the bread was a bit crispy, the meat and cheese was plentiful. 2 mimosas, an order of mushrooms, a French Dip and a BLT, both with one side, with a $5 and change tip, was $50. I recommend going and checking it out. We can't afford to do that regularly, but it's a lot of fun.

I'm sorry to say the food was horrible. The shrimp was dripping grease, the mushroom Swiss cheeseburger was awful. The only thing we actually ate out of our entire order was the fries and most of the fried mushrooms. Very disappointed.
