Excellent restaurant, Dine-in or Take-out!! Great service and food is the best in Idaho!

The General Tso's chicken was somewhat better; it had a nice sweetness to it, but it was quite different from the garlicky flavors typically associated with this dish. The sweet and sour pork was passable, though the coating was thick, reminiscent of a corn dog exterior. As for the shrimp in lobster sauce, it stood out as the best dish on the table. The shrimp were large and cooked to perfection, complemented by snow peas, water chestnuts, palm hearts, celery, and bok choy. Overall, China Palace is an option for Chinese food in a hurry, but it really feels like a three-star restaurant. It seems they might have altered their flavors to cater to local tastes in Idaho, as the dishes lack authenticity compared to the decent Chinese restaurants I've enjoyed in New York, Oregon, and California over the years. On the positive side, I found the management and staff to be friendly and helpful. As a side note, we’ve tried five or six Chinese restaurants in the Boise area, and none have left me wanting to return. It’s disappointing because I truly enjoy exceptional Chinese cuisine.

The food was just okay. The orange chicken was tough, the rice was overcooked, and they forgot to bring out our appetizers. As for the chow mein, where were the noodles? The highlight of the visit was our server, a friendly big guy.

The food here is top-notch, and the staff is very accommodating. I tried the crab rangoons for the first time, and they were filled with generous portions of crab. I also recommend the pork and sweet and sour chicken; both dishes are fantastic!

From start to finish, this was by far the best old school Chinese restaurant I have been to. The nice young man who took my order over the phone was clear and courteous. He used my name while finalizing the order and pick-up time. Upon arrival, I was greeted and promptly taken care of with nice conversation with the waitress. And oh yeah, the food! I had to smell the yummy scent all the way home. It was piping hot and the best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything was fresh and tasty. Perfect fit for my Chinese food craving tonight!
