The Caboose Ice Cream Parlor - Elkins

We decided to stop in after arriving in Elkins and walked in for some coffee and a snack after our drive. There were plenty of options not just for coffee and desserts, but also for lunch items.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I asked to sample a flavor and instead received an entire cone of ice cream. I was told to try it, but after tasting, they added more on top of the ice cream I had already eaten from—so unsanitary! On top of that, I owed 7 more cents, gave them a dollar, and they handed me back 7 cents instead of 93. What a mess!

The staff at this restaurant were extremely rude. One of the employees even attempted to provoke a fight after we had already left. We will definitely not be returning to The Caboose or any of their other locations.

We weren't sure what to expect but ice cream always sounds good while on vacation. Especially after a day of hiking. We were pleasantly surprised with what we got. There was only person working but it was after dinner time on a Friday so there weren't many people around. We were served quickly and the lady was very nice and friendly. We always try to find local places and locally sourced foods if possible. This isn't locally made ice cream from a local dairy farm but it was very good. They carry Pierre and Blue Bunny brands. It was a nice treat and an excellent way to end a vacation.

Please do not eat at this restaurant there was a drug needle on the counter didnt wash their hands etc please do not eat here
