Sunset Pointe - Fairhope

The brunch experience was quite mixed. One friend ordered the crab cake Eggs Benedict with potatoes, which the waitress had enthusiastically recommended as a must-try. While the eggs were acceptable, the crab cakes were disappointingly small and thin, resembling a sausage patty one might find in a McDonald's biscuit. To make matters worse, they were overly salty, making them nearly inedible. The potatoes, which the waitress claimed were cooked with onions and spices, turned out to be merely fried and rather unremarkable. Another person at our table opted for the fried catfish with pimento cheese grits. Unfortunately, of the three small pieces of catfish, two were almost completely hidden beneath the grits, overshadowing the flavor of the batter. Although the grits were creamy and pleasant, they had no pimento cheese flavor whatsoever. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
