Colonial Diner - Forked River

We popped into this cute little diner one day for breakfast. There is seating outside. Even though it was a little crowded The waitresses were still friendly and calling people by name so that told me they have a lot of repeat business. It's a nice downhome friendly neighborhood diner. I will definitely go back. Food was good and they give you enough that you need a To gocontainer.

Place has gone downhill lately. What?s up? Why? Was always great but not now. Are there changes coming to bring it back to its old glory?! Hope so

Been coming to Lakeside consistently every Sat. for the past 2 years some Sundays too. Was my favorite place to eat but whatever ?changes? have been made were definitely not for the best. Went in last Sat. for Breakfast it took 10 mins just to begreeted by a server then another 10 mins just to get our 3 drinks, mind you there were maybe 6-7 tables total including ours. IfI wasn?t so hungry I would of walked out. Service was mediocre this is very unfortunate as I will never go back.

My husband just came back from having lunch there and can't stop raving about the great food and wonderful service!

I?m giving this place 2 stars for a couple reasons. I know Sundays are usually busy for diners and that totally understandable so our party of 6 decided to eat outside under the tent to avoid a long waited seat inside. Don?t get me wrong the food wasreally good even though my breakfast came out after everyone at my table was almost done with theirs, but then our wholeexperience was completely ruined by the band that came. There were a couple very rude women that came along with them and madetwo of the people with me get up from their seats because the chairs were for the band even though they weren?t even playing inthe band they were just watching. And also took the fan we had pointed at us and pointed it at themselves( the ladies that satand watched). They were very rude. If there is specific items outside that are not for paying customers then put a sign out thatsays so instead of being rude to the customers.
