Captain D's - Fort Oglethorpe

My 4-year-old usually chooses this as our breakfast once a weekend. The staff is great and the food is always excellent.

Simply put. I don't always want to eat fast or fish much less both... but if the stars align for both, this little fat food relic in Fort Oglethorpe never stops scratching reliably that it is perfect. Great work and stop it.

Fast forward to today, August 16, 2021: I had a much better experience! The customer service was excellent, and the food was extremely good. Great job all around! However, on May 10, 2021, I had some issues with my order. I had called and spoke with Sarah regarding the corn. She mentioned it was freshly prepared that morning but didn't realize it had turned brown. She kindly offered to replace it, but I was frustrated with the situation. I now understand why the parking lot was empty during dinner back in 2020. Back then, I ordered two three-piece fish dinners but was only given two free cups of tartar sauce, which is not pre-packaged. Apparently, you have to order a family meal to get additional tartar sauce. I ended up having to purchase two extra cups for $2.15. I couldn't help but wonder if I would be charged for sauce if I dined in or if it was complimentary. It felt ridiculous, and I vowed not to return. Fast forward a year, and unfortunately, I faced the same frustrations today. Why is it so hard to get a cup of tartar sauce with a three-piece meal? It's absurd! If I was dining in, I would definitely use an entire cup for my fish! In the end, I had to cancel my order due to these ongoing issues.

The staff was exceptionally friendly. I ordered takeout, and it was the best fish, hush puppies, and vegetables I've had in quite a while from this place. I'm not sure what changes you've made, but please keep it up!

The chef and the cashier were fantastic. I'll definitely return just for the excellent service. The food was also really good.
