I'm pretty sure that less than stellar reviews are of less than stellar competitors, because everything I ordered was top shelf Tex-Mex everything was uber-fresh, and that was thin rita.?

Los Patrones Mexican Grill in Giddings was just what I was needing after a weekend of hiking. I needed a good and strong margarita and lots of chips and salsa so I came to the right place. I can see why there are such great reviews about the place. I ordered the Border Sampler (Fajita quesadillas, nachos, stuffed shrimp jalapeños, and chicken fried burritos) which was great. The fried burrito was maybe my favorite. And the stuffed jalapeños this time were super spicy. So good and great attentive service too!!

Los Patroness has very good food and great service. I'm a bit biased when it comes to Mexican food because I grew up on San Antonio Tex-Mex food. While this is not my Tex-Mex comfort food, it is still very good. They have a pretty decent selection of seafood as well.

Best fried Catfish! No kidding! We've been eating here for 8+ years and finally tried the fried catfish/shrimp plate. Got the plate 3x's this past week. Crispy golden breading. Flakey fish and the shrimp pops when you bite into it. Cooked perfectly. I hardly ever eat french fries but these are treated as well as the fish and shrimp. Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing Mexican cuisine restaurant! most delicious bark fajitas and best quality silver tequila dishes! we visited this place at many places and every time they offer the best service and excellent food quality!
