Santa Fe Steakhouse - Giddings

I was surprised! It didn't look like much on the outside and honestly we've driven past it so many times we didn't even know it was open! But, this time we stopped and I'm glad we did. The food was great, everything cooked right and well seasoned. The music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear the table, there was ample seating. Parking can be a challenge though, the spaces are small. Had reservation but wanted to sit outside, at least a 20 minute wait to just set a table outside. Starters/appetizers were very good, recommend their cheese plate. Waiter was very nice, i feel she was very friendly and understanding. The wait for the food was 45 minutes, although the martinis were a sweet touch to the atmosphere. The whole place is a hot spot for nice photos to pose in. lastly the food seemed over salted. Had steak, salad, chicken mesa, and oscar. overall i think they should improve on their timing for sitting guest and bringing food. i’m sure the food is usually good; this time coming it was poor i have to say. On Thursday, 11.17.2022 at 15 o'clock we were quickly greeted and sitting, ordered, served drinks, our dinner was ready in a few minutes. the salatbar was beautiful and has many offers. our Steak dinners were great, broth rolls are great. our waitress was pleased that we spoke Spanish, although her English was impeccable. very recommended santa fe steakhouse.
