Barracuda - Kilifi

One of the best and cleanest places in Watamu. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is truly filling—you can eat as much as you want. I plan to visit again at the end of May, health permitting.

Nice air conditioned rooms next to a beautiful beach with a nice walking path along the beach cliffs. I couldn't really see or hear the ocean from the room.

The positives: The location is fantastic, and the pool, pool deck, small private beach, and the beautiful grounds and lounge areas are all highlights. The property is right on the beach, which is a big plus. My room was spacious and had working air conditioning, although there was a bit of a musty smell. The negatives: There was no Wi-Fi or TV in the rooms, which is a dealbreaker for me. There also weren’t any entertainment options available on-site. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the overall service felt a bit detached, although Amos was a lovely exception. Lastly, the breakfast was disappointing, with limited variety and food running out quickly. There were also few choices for lunch and dinner. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, but I'd suggest dining elsewhere.
