Drums Of The Pacific Luau - Lahaina

We had an absolutely wonderful evening at the luau! From the moment we arrived until the very end, I felt genuinely welcomed. Although the luau is quite pricey, I truly believe it was worth every penny. Our waiter ensured our drinks were always full, and the buffet dinner was exceptional. I appreciated how the show was organized, with dance lessons before dinner and performances throughout the meal. After reading numerous reviews, we chose this luau, and I'm so glad we did!

This was a highlight of our trip. The luau was exceptionally well organized. The show, food, and service were all flawless. The dinner was once again a buffet, which was fantastic. This is definitely a must-do!

I really enjoyed the show! The food was delicious and abundant, and the drinks were constantly topped up. The dancers were absolutely wonderful. As a bonus, we were able to check out the penguin exhibit at the hotel on our way out. Parking was convenient, as they validate self-parking.

Fun show for a family, but the food was not good. Not all seats have good views, get the ones in the center if possible. Fire show at the end was definitely the highlight

This is a very cool luau. The dance and acting was excellent and the service was great. The event includes both food and drinks. The salad and appetizers were pretty good. Main course was just ok. There is a ton of variety (4 meats) and the buffet suffers from too many options to be excellent. I would have loved to see just two meat options, a traditional pulled pork and local fresh fish . The desserts were ok as well. The pineapple upside down cake was the star. The tropical fruit was mostly California melons, it would have been much better to see papaya and mango with the pineapple.The atmosphere feels much less intimate than I was expecting. Large tables (8 seats) with multiple groups at each table. The seats were comfortable for the duration. The show was on a covered stage giving it a theater feel rather than a beach luau feel.All of that said, the show was fantastic and the dancers were fabulous. The hula girls did a great job and demonstrated a variety of interesting Polynesian dance forms. The guys were pretty intense and really got into their roles. Collectively, the dancers did great. The fire dance at the end of the show absolutely brought down the house. It was epic.Overall this was a great experience. I think my challenge is with cost vs food quality. I guess I really want this kind of show presented on a beach, maybe with a boardwalk for the show itself. This whole experience has a contrived feel. I don 't want to be disparaging, I wanted to love the show and it is a lot of fun. But, there are definitely some weaknesses.
