Írjon visszajelzéstI'm sorry, but we ate in Merriams at night before and came to Nagasako Okazuya for lunch and hands down prefer Nagasako! I even had to write this before I finished my food (pork and peas), it is so good. I wanted to try everything. Delicious local comfort food in good portions. An elderly local after me rubbed his belly and said, "Give me my favorite beef stew!" On another trip here for Spam musubi, I noticed the little lady at the front of the shop welcomed some customers like family and she told me she was always praying for the less happy. I am a visitor, but this place feels like a wonderful example of Maui culture and so many local customers seem to prove it. Now I have to take a nap for a happy stomach!
Hands down, one of the best spots in Lahaina! Food is always great!
Delicious corn chowder every fridays , all week they have great food, I wish they would smile and be friendly, they always look so sad, not happy .. But don't let that stop you from going because the food is delicious, its expensive so make sure you have money okay, just for one piece fish tempura it cost 3.00 something, wow unreal but it is real, plenty locals eat there I no see tourist go in.
A small hole in the wall, but excellent food. (Like most hole in the walls) Got the Chicken Katsu and Spam Musubi. Both were delicious and hardy. They give you two sides with your meal. I had gotten the rice and Macaroni salad. The macaroni salad needs a little bit of work, but is still delicious. And the rice and cooked just right. Am definitely coming back again!
I’m posting this review because it was highly recommended by several people, including the photographer at the event we attended, our driver, and a waiter. We came here specifically for the musubi, although we didn’t get to try their dinner plates. We ended up taking some musubi to-go later on, and they were absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, tasty, and very affordable. The musubi here is fantastic, and I will definitely be returning before the end of our trip.
