Capitol Chophouse - Madison

The main reason I can't recommend this restaurant is that it is closed. It used to be a fantastic place.

The lunch menu was much smaller than before. I'd like more choices. I had the chopped salad that was just in order. those who ordered sandwiches were very happy with them.

For the small number of tables with people the service was very bad. there was a buffet, and there were several waiters/waxes, but a drink was a challenge when we first came there and water were never filled again. eating was good, nothing special and definitiv not worth the price. I'd be interested in eating some time there, but would never go back from brunch.

Beautiful wine selection. lachs and clam chowder excellent. crab cake too sharp. dressing on wedge watery and boring. great server.

Nice evening not too crowded. Service was good and wines were very good.
