Capitol Chophouse - Madison

The lunch menu was much smaller than before. I'd like more choices. I had the chopped salad that was just in order. those who ordered sandwiches were very happy with them.

Beautiful wine selection. lachs and clam chowder excellent. crab cake too sharp. dressing on wedge watery and boring. great server.

Nice evening not too crowded. Service was good and wines were very good.

Food was excellent! We loved the cheese board and I had probably the best salmon of my life. Ambiance is a bit odd, but that's what you can expect from a hotel restaurant. Overall, great service!

Thank you to the hostesses who went above and beyond to have the roses on the table I had requested. Denarili (sorry for the spelling) was particularly kind, welcoming and helpful. Logan is an extraordinary server and could easily be training waitstaff in 5-star restaurants. He was inventive, responsive and dedicated to excellence throughout our meal. We will return on each trip to Madison and if we lived there it would be a go to spot for us. Thank you again.
