Broken Yolk Cafe - Meridian

The service was extremely slow and the waitress wasn't friendly. Our party of 3 waited 45 minutes for our salads and a burger. The restaurant was mostly empty at the time. We had to request our checks and wait until our waitress finally got around to bringing the checks. Then another wait for her to bring us a box. I've been anxious to try this restaurant, and was very disappointed.

Went this morning with my daughter and I had really high hopes. The server that greeted us was very friendly, but after bringing us water we didn 't see her again for at least 15 minutes. She did apologize but stated that she had to do everything herself.Once we ordered, the food was VERY slow to come out of the kitchen. I had the Golden state Benedict and was not impressed. The eggs were about the size of quail eggs and the yolks of both were broken and slightly congealed in the middle of the plate. It was also missing the avocado. No bueno! Had the home fries , never had sliced fried potatoes called home fries and they were only partially cooked.My daughter had an omelet that was not any better, nothing stayed together and had just the tiniest bit of cheese. Her potatoes weren 't done either and the biscuit she had was so dry it was really hard to eat.Prices were also a little high for what we had, I don 't mind paying for good food and service, but when it is such a let down, it is a bitter pill to swallow. I doubt we will be back. Too bad, has potential.

Very poor experience. I waited several minutes to be spoken with to be told someone would take my to go order… over 10 minutes pass and I discovered placing the order online was quicker and yet still my order was even minutes past the estimated time provided. I watched an elderly couple shortly after walk in and seat their self without being greeted. Seemed to be several people working and a lot of open tables. Poorly managed.
