Trattoria Da Cecio - MONTE SAN PIETRO

They suggested an evening with spaghetti with seafood. We were 7 people, with reservation. 45 minutes of waiting to be served, we had asked for something to chew while waiting and they offered us chips which never arrived. The staff tries hard, but it's still not enough... The spaghetti arrives, first three portions, then... the others. The spaghetti was broken, so it couldn't be rolled up by the fork; the seafood probably bought at the supermarket or at the Metro, cooked badly, no sauce, no flavour, everything very dry... the bill arrives: 7 spaghetti, 2 pan pizzas, 2 desserts, two wines, 2 water, 3 coffees ... total €213.5, equal to €30.5 each. a theft of the palate and wallet.

It was recommended to me by many, so I decided to go there one evening. I only had one first course: the carbonara. Abundant, delicious pasta and perfect seasoning. The bread is excellent. I also tasted the amatriciana, which was equally good. The first courses must all be tried, and sooner or later, I will also try the second courses and the starters. Excellent prices: first course water coffee cover charge for 11 euros. There is also ample parking.

When we came out they smelled like cooking in an indecent way. The value for money is really low. The staff needs to be trained much better, but still friendly. The pasta was salty and we had to wait a whopping 45 minutes.

The food is very good for those who love true Roman cuisine, the courses are plentiful.. the chef and owner is very nice... we spent a wonderful evening.. I highly recommend it.....

I'm not an expert on Roman cuisine. I ate some very good fried vegetables and pasta alla gricia. Prices a little high for just first courses and starters
