Kogane Korean Kitchen - Ogden

We went here for my husband's birthday to try authentic Korean food for the first time and it was fantastic! I had the beef bibimbap in the stone bowl and the tteokbokki; they were so dang good! The tteokbokki was a super cool dining experience; the texture is like mochi, but it was in a slightly spicy, savory sauce/broth. I ended up putting a little on my bibimbap! We also tried the steak tofu and it was really good. Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive! We'll definitely be back to try more menu items!Kid-friendliness: My daughter actually really enjoyed the tofu. The waitress was very respectful, fun, and nice, when talking to her as well!

Everything we ate here was fantastic. I was honestly a bit skeptical about Korean food out in Utah, but Kogane far exceeded my expectations.The side dishes, the stew, and the bibimbap were all on point. It may have been a temporary special, but I would highly recommend the barbecue baby back short ribs: absolutely delicious.The two ladies running the place were very friendly and let us order tofu even though the menu listed it as a Wednesday item.

I have been on the fence about writing a review, however this place has left a “salty” taste in my mouth due to pricing. Don’t get me wrong, their product is good and their service is decent. However, I ordered two main dishes to go (which apparently only includes rice and meat) which cost $50. Their food is extremely good, although you may need to pull out a small loan to afford your dinner here.

Stingy portions, high prices, mediocre food. Sauces given were the size of a dime. Majority of main dishes are $20+. Be aware there is a fee incurred for all credit card payments. Cash preferred here.Usually the side dishes for Korean BBQ is complementary with the meal, but it is $2.99 for each side dish here. There are better alternatives for Korean BBQ in Utah.

Best Korean food in Utah. The variety of flavors and the combination of authentic sides you just can’t get anywhere else. Price is a little more than I think it should be but I really can’t get this quality of K-food any where else. Get the spicy pork belly and get all the sides you can and you will enjoy it. Their beembeembop is ok.
