Bread And Roses Bakery - Ogunquit

Bread and Roses used top be THE best bakery on the south coast of m=Maine, when they were a storefront in Ogunquit. Previously gave t;hem a 5 star review. No longer. Success apparently went to their heads. They closed the Ogunquit location and moved everything to their commercial bakery (i.e, wholesale) in Wells. Place looks like a dump from the outside, and they were already closed for the season before Columbus Day weekend. This is a place that used to be open almost all year round. They 've lost myself and several other loyal customers with their poor decision.

Worst cookie I've ever eaten. Zero flavor, so much oil it fell apart in the bag.

GREAT bakery but NOTE this location is closed. The new location is located just 3 miles up Rte 1 in Wells. Look for it on Google maps. Amazing pies and cakes!

First time visit. Ordered a large iced coffee and blueberry muffin. I take my coffee unsweetened and black, so I can be picky on coffees. This one was good, nice dark flavor and not watered down. I was a little disappointed with the size of the blubbery muffin, but the taste and flavor made up for the size. Iced coffee and blueberry muffin are a winner.

Cute little bakery with lots of options! Ordered a classic whoopie pie, a blueberry whoopie pie, a slice of blueberry pie, and a Napoleon. The whoopie pie was so moist and chocolatey! The blueberry whoopie pie was like having 2 tops of the most moist and flavorful blueberry muffins with icing in the middle. The blueberry flavor was amazing! The icing was just a tad too sweet. The blueberry pie was also delicious. Absolutely full of blueberries! The crust was not too sweet, which I like. The Napoleon was so full of cream. The pastry was flaky. It was delightful! Would definitely go again!
