Barb's Country Kitchen - Orangeville

So I've been to the standard Sunset Grill, Wimpy's Dinner, and the average breakfast restaurantEvery place has bacon, ham or sausage and eggs.

Under new ownership and they are still selling themselves as the restaurant that was spotlighted on You Gotta Eat Here.

This local diner is as good as it getsThis was the first time I have ever enjoyed steak and eggsThe steak was delicious and cooked well.

If you are the the type that likes to wait for there food .. Barb' s Kitchen is the place. After being seater waited 1.5 hour for our food. Wait staff communication was poor.after placing an order for a burger took The waitress 20mins to come tell me there was NO Burgers. The food was mediocre nothing worth waiting that long for.

What a shame to read some negative reviews. We made a special trip out to Orangeville to try this place and we were definitely not disappointed. All the staff was over the top pleasant, friendly and helpful. We sat out on the patio as it was a beautiful afternoon. We both ordered from breakfast menu and our plates were overflowing. Everything was delicious and we even brought home doggie bags. We will definitely be back for lunch sometime the burgers & fries/poutine looked amazingly yummy. I do have one tiny criticism (sorry but have to mention) When customers are paying nearly $3 for a glass of OJ I think a freshly squeezed variety (like Tropicana) would be more acceptable instead of one from concentrate. Yuk. All in all a fabulous day trip that we will definitely do again. Kudos to all the great staff & I mean ALL!!!
