El Molinito - Oro Valley

We love this restaurant especially this location even though it is over 30 minutes from where we live because of the service we get from Carlos the bartender. He is just amazing!! Also when we walk in we are recognized and greeted promptly by the front and the manager and guided to where we always sit and taken very good care of. Highly recommend especially because of Carlos and the frozen margaritas!! On a different note the food is usually good but last night we were there we ordered and not even 5 minutes later the food came out and and was warm but not hot which tells me it is just sitting back there already pre made . I ordered a burrito enchilada style and the sauce had no flavor and the tortill was so hard and rubbery I could barely chew it or cut it. Very little flavor for Mexican food especially My son and his friend ordered the chimichaga plate and my sons friend got such a bad stabbing stomach ache later once at home and today my son and I also have stomach aches after eating. I am leaving a 5 star because we do love it there and the staff. Just lately especially last night the quality of the food has gone down and not sure why. We have eaten at this restaurant and the other locations for many many years and the food has definitely changed.

Very affordable, great food, great service, not for you if you want fancy and expensive.

Delicious Mexican food! Tucson north needs more homemade good food Mexican restaurants ... their hamburger burrito enchilada style yum

Great margaritas. Chips and spicy salsa excellent (mild salsa was too sweet and bland almost like tomato sauce). Had the flat enchilada which was more like a sope as the masa was very thick and nothing like a corn tortilla. It was flavorful and the enchilada sauce is quite spicy which I enjoyed but someone who doesn't like spice would probably not care for it. Rice and beans tasted fine. Will try something else when we return.
