Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill - Peoria

Food is always great. Service has been top notch last few visits. Store is typically clean and presentable.

We stopped in yesterday and after dealing with the staff we wished this location was closer to us. We had a coupon on the app and had questions about how to use it in store and the lady working the cash register was more than happy to help and didn’t make us feel like we were idiots. Even the gentleman who brought us our food was incredibly friendly. I just wish I had gotten their names so I could properly shout them out. We like Rubios in general, but my wife said her burrito was the freshest she’s ever gotten from a Rubios.

They barely put any meat in my bowl less than an ounce as well almost no sauce. Also it didn’t even fill up half the bowl almost only a quarter of the bowl. Would not recommend this place.

I really wanted to try Rubios since seeing a spot on the news. The lime chili shrimp tacos were good. Prepared a bit sloppy, but good. And at a fair price. $10.99 for 2 tacos, fresh refried beans and chips. Many salsas, picante, etc., sauces to choose, from a self serve salsa bar. The only issue was getting in to the restaurant. There is a coffee bean shop attached to the building. The line of traffic for coffee, blocks the parking for Rubios. And if you park elsewhere, you have to walk between the traffic line of waiting cars for coffee.

Another restaurant worth traveling to eat at. We drive 200 miles round trip for dinner there, it's that good. We eat in then take home an additional meal for 2. Add churros, non better anywhere.
