Sam's Joint - Plainwell

When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated at a table where the overhead light was burnt out and the candle on the table extinguished shortly into our visit. The waitress was fairly quick to get our drink orders and they came pretty quickly. After that everything went downhill. We ordered the Sam's Sampler (Super Nachos, Skins and chicken strips) for an appetizer. It took approx. 45 mins to receive and it was mediocre at best. I had ordered the half rack of ribs and my wife ordered the deep fried chicken burrito. 45 mins after the appetizer arrived our food finally showed up. My ribs were somewhere around room temperature, possibly below. They were some of the most tender ribs I had ever eaten but they had almost no flavor at all. When my wife received her order she noticed that the burrito was not so much on the deep fried side. Her order was hot but also lacked in flavor department. When we received the bill we noticed that the waitress had indeed entered in chicken burrito instead of deep fried burrito with chicken. In conclusion, the food was not very good at all and service was lacking. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
