I was prepared before the use of the block with some additional medications in advance and it went so smooth! kudos and many thanks!
The ER is an absolute disaster! The intake nurse was rude. My wife sat in the waiting area screaming in pain for over 30 minutes before they even brought her to an examination room. We waited almost 2 hours before a nurse started an IV at which time she told my wife to stop being loud while she was crying in pain. Totally understaffed. Not compassionate at all. No chairs in the examination rooms. Great hospital once you get through the ER. I wouldn't recommend going to Chilton for Emergency treatment. And as you can see in the reviews I'll receive a boiler plate response to call patient relations and they will tell a supervisor. Maybe the Medical Director should read some of these reviews.
Chilton Medical Center Outpatient Cardiac Therapy provided me with the most wonderful care following Open Heart Surgery. This Department works like a well-oiled machine as it hums along providing extraordinary, personalized care to each patient. The cardiac care knowledge and professionalism of each therapist is “above and beyond.” Their commitment to Covid-19 precautions always made me feel safe. Outpatient Cardiac Therapy is different than exercising at a gym. It gives you strength where you need it (upper body, lower body, heart muscles, arms, etc without putting undue stress on your heart. I highly recommend CMH Outpatient Cardiac Therapy because the care provided by this team is definitely THE BEST.
My husband recently had a metal hook hit his eye at work. In less time than it took us the past week to get a car wash, he was examined, treated appropriately, results and plan discussed with him and then again with me when I arrived “laterr” only 20 minutes after he arrived. I had assumed I would be finding him in the waiting room. But he was already tested, treated and about to get his tetanus shot and discharge instructions. As a hospital employee elsewhere I knew the ED was actually very busy that day. So impressed at their ability to process this case so throughly and quickly. Thank you!
I had visited Chilton twice previously over the last 9 months; once with my sister who had an emergency in the middle of the night and once early morning following a car accident; for the most part, I would have rated it 5 stars. I went yesterday with a massive head, neck and shoulder pain and I felt the service was rated about a 4 until Kylie Jimenez RN was sent to me. She was dismissive, inattentive and down right rude. When the woman who drew my blood and put in my IV (she was very nice) was having so much difficulty and kept sticking me; it would have been nice for her to come then. When it was time for me to be discharged, even after calling for her several times and waiting 30 minutes, she continued walking past the room attending to another patient instead of taking my IV port out so I could go. She was nasty in presenting my discharge papers (still with the IV port in) and abrupt about giving me my medical note for work; so much so, that she didn't even tell me which way to go to get out.My experience yesterday was very poor!My experience
