Brasserie De Novo - Ridgewood

I want a brief comment on our visit to Novo last night. It was a really pleasant culinary experience. We were treated to a great service, and the food was exceptional. With its clever use of various spices and herbs, the cook took us on an amusing journey. He also came to our table and brought us samples of the Duck Bisteya, which was a joy for the mouth. Novo is definitely a place to eat and a great addition to Ridgewood's dining scene.

The restaurant offers great vegetarian options. I really enjoyed the potato cake and the house-made bread. However, I would recommend skipping the mezze platter and instead trying the smoked eggplant with chickpeas. The ambiance is delightful, and it's a nice touch that you can bring your own bottle of wine.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the staff was very attentive to our table. While the prices are on the higher side, keep in mind that the portion sizes may not be large (don’t be surprised if your dessert is smaller than expected). This makes it a great spot for a date or even a gathering with a big group. I definitely plan on returning in the future!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant multiple times since it opened. Just last week, I returned and was impressed once again. The location is fantastic, with free parking available—a major plus in Ridgewood. The food is not only excellent but also unique, which sets it apart from other places. The service is very good, though it falls just short of five-star quality.
