Cantinho Saudavel - Rio Maior

This is a small cafe with 6 buffet dishes, priced according to weight. The owner was very helpful. They only take Portuguese (Visa) cards or cash. When we ate here, the choice was mostly based around tofu, seitan and beans either in stews or stir fried with rice. All but one was vegan. They were rather carb heavy, perhaps in reflection of traditional Portuguese cuisine, and only one dish of green beans as a vegetable. The freshly made juice was excellent. Possibly the only vegan oasis in this town. A little involved to find it. We asked in the local library which was just around the corner.
