Buddy's Bbq - Rocky Mount

Great restaurant with delicious grill! The nachos were mostly broken chips, but it was delicious! The service was wonderful. The Hush puppies are like funnel cakes!

Working in Rocky Mount Va today came across this gem! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area! Great atmosphere, service, hush puppies didn’t even need butter! I got the spiced up beans which are Wow!! that pulled bbq! Check out the smoke ring on that brisket! Wish I would have more time to meet the pit master!

Traveled back down to the area for family business and once again I made the stop to this wonderful BBQ restaurant. The new location just down the street from the old one is a complete overhaul and upgrade. It was packed almost immediately after they opened at 11am. The food once again stole the show with fantastic flavors and tender meats. I had the brisket tray with buddy's banging beans and coleslaw along with the Jamaican Jerk wings. The small portion is just enough to fill you up but if you dig it the platter is the way to go. Now there is outside dining and live music so if you want the best BBQ, this is the place to go.

Place was packed. Took a long time to get our food, but when it did, pulled pork, brisket, fries, slaw and hush puppies were all very good. Potato salad was so-so, but the banana pudding was outstanding.

We tried the ultimate burger, and it was incredible! The best hush puppies I've ever had! They also have their own homemade BBQ sauce, which is delicious as well. Definitely give it a try!
