Írjon visszajelzéstI really can't recommend this place. The food was gross and very greasy (we could not even eat it). The atmosphere needs updating. The neighborhood is bad. What else can I say you should not spend your time or money here.
Honestly, this is a stereotypical greasy hole-in-the-wall local restaurant. When we were seated, I had to ask that the table be cleaned off, because it was sticky and had crumbs left on it. My food was greasy and cold, especially the hash browns, they looked like they had been cooked at 6AM and were waiting for someone to order at 10AM! They certainly didn't taste much better. The waitress was rude when I asked for anything. She never came back to check on us, just stood behind the counter and talked with the belligerent old locals at the counter, who were there everyday and thought it was the best thing ever, only to sit there all day and stare at people who came in. It was very uncomfortable and gross. The floor didn't look like it had ever seen a mop, and the cook was missing several teeth and hadn't had a shower in several days. I will never go back. It wasn't what I expected. It is sad that someone had actually recommended that place.
Upon entering, I was welcomed by friendly staff and noticed that the place was clean. Everyone seemed happy and genuinely enjoyed their work, which was evident in the quality of service. My soda was never empty, a definite sign of an attentive waiter. He even kindly suggested a dish when I had narrowed it down to two options, sharing how he enhances one of them to make it even better, and it turned out to be delicious. I now recommend this restaurant to my friends, have liked them on Facebook, and have spoken to the owners multiple times, expressing my admiration for how much they've improved since my last visit. I'm truly impressed!
I would never dine here again; once was more than enough. This place epitomizes a typical greasy spoon. The service is subpar, with food served as if the staff were doing you a favor. The cook appears unkempt, missing a few teeth, and looks like someone who's been struggling with substance abuse without any personal care for days. The floors are in desperate need of mopping and sanitizing. I also find the prices to be quite steep for the quality offered. Additionally, there's usually a group of older men perched on the bar stools who stare at you when you walk in and continue to watch you throughout your meal, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcome atmosphere. It seems they don't appreciate newcomers.
Whenever my husband and I visit the Busy Bee Cafe for breakfast, we always bring along our curly-haired grandson. Everyone there adores him and his hair. The staff is incredibly friendly and always busy with something. Every time I’ve gone, the place has been clean. Sure, it has an old charm, but that’s what makes it special to my husband and me—it feels like stepping back in time to our youth. The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone who appreciates a down-to-earth atmosphere and a taste of nostalgia, not to mention anyone who loves good food.
