I don't know if I am the best cook in the country, but less, he is a great cook. both culinary and personal, this Dutch man who has been in the area for many years already has a special hand for food and people. go check it out in the cook ruumet caf as in his little love brother on the rocks, it is cooked with fresh food of the area that, sometimes, are used to perpetrate the European tpico dishes in the Caribbean style. the star of the letter is, without a doubt, the bouillabaise, a traditionally frank stew that here takes tropical tones. is simply spectacular, although the chef steals the coffee groumet is almost integrated in the hill of the cove, it is not exclusive to the customers of this tourist hotel. oted is more than welcome in the place, however, than if, better come in time because the food is so rich and the service so good the waiters are charming that they are never exactly vaco if you visit hopkins and can only eat in a restaurant choose the coffee of the chef groumet's blanket. It's worth a lot of note: if you behave and ask for it please, maybe they'll let you have dinner on the wooden palaphyte at sea. the moon, the Caribbean, a lobster and t, take no more!
A great night in Hopkins! Dinner with Chef Rob Love On The Rocks was fantastic! A must if you are in Southern Belize! Between the 4 of us we had pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin, ribeye steak, tuna and shrimp all cooked for perfection and then kept warm on our rocks during the meal! And beef was very good and tender (if you tried beef in Belize you know) We were also here for a week 5 years ago while we were house hunting, but never had dinner (wow, we really missed out) but we had a fantastic breakfast every morning A great place for dinner or a weekend away!
Wonderful Service amazing menu creative food choices. Great wine selection. We ate two nights here while we were in Hopkins. The Ribeye Steak brilliant, woman enjoyed the local fish, I had pork and shrimp red curry with rice. Delicious soups, 4-course dinner. Must try when in town.
We sat at the Chef's Table. It cost us $69 each. I thought at first it wouldn't be worth it, but I was surprisingly wrong. It was definitely worth the experience. Each dish of the 7 courses was beautiful and delicious. I don't think I would have normally ordered anything he served me, but everyone was amazing! I will be sure to venture out more, at least at this restaurant! You are sitting next to the cooking area, so dress in cool clothes. Chef Rob was very pleasant and would answer all our questions. It was a pleasure to meet him and hear about his story of growing up in the restaurant world.
After being turned away from another restaurant, we decided to try this one and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away, despite not having a reservation. We opted for the 4-course meal, which was offered at a great price. Each of us ordered a different main dish and all of them were delicious. The chocolate mousse for dessert was a standout. Chef Rob even brought out our entrees himself and we could see him working in the kitchen as we left. I highly recommend stopping by this place – we were so happy to have stumbled upon it for our final evening in town.
