Gallery Artspaces Cafe - Triabunna

We went along to the monthly market and couldnt get a coffee for the love of money. Around the corner is this lovely arty shack that has the best coffee we have had for ages. Inside the L shaped wooden building that is a small version of the art shed is a lovely light space foilled with tables surrounded by art. On the walls just as you come in are local artists work. There are hanging racks of colourful scarves and on the shelves are loads of Tasmanian themed books and magazines. At the counter are artisan chocolates and melting moments and other cakes (carrot being one). We just had good rich Australian coffee and a melting moment (tangy real lemon icing). There is a lunch menu as well. Didnt get to see that. The cafe was busy with coffee and groups who all knew each other. Even my hubby was impressed and said we can go again. Gee.

Came for a coffee prior to catching the ferry. Watery weak grey coffee, no flavour whatsoever. Austrian man behind the counter was very disinterested , no eye contact, grumbled when we wanted the bathroom key. Never again

Went for a quick coffe & milkshakes. Worst coffee I have had since being in Tasmania. Kids milkshakes were warm, my coffee was burnt and undrinkable.

We tried to visit this place three times during what they advertise as opening hours but they were never open. They say on their website that they close at 4 pm. First we visited at 3.30 and they were closed but a couple of customers were still finishing. So we went back at 3 the next time and they were closed up completely and the floors were being washed. Next time we tried at about 11 and they had closed unexpectedly for the weekend. It would be good if they could advertise the correct opening hours or open the hours they say they do.

The service doesn't match the outside of this small town cafe. We arrived at 11.05 for breakfast (which finished at 11am). The place was empty, and we were refused breakfast, because it finished 5mins earlier, in a very rude manner.Very Unfriendly and rude service followed by bad coffee.Definitely skip this place and continue up to Swansea.
