Honu Snacks - Waianae

The cook was adorable friendly, and her fresh noodles amazing. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely stop by just for them.

The place was pretty close to where I was hiking and was much needed. The food was good, filling, fast, and the prices were great. The lady serving me was nice and there was a slight language barrier but that didn't detract from the experience at all.

It 's been a bit of a long time since I stepped foot into Honu Snacks at Makaha Marketplace. The female owner was working up front today. She seen me and said long time no see . I noticed that the small take out joint has a two seater table and a four seater table now. Customers can enjoy eating their meals once it gets done. Monday 2/20/2017 around 5:30pm I ordered the meat jun for dinner. I wanted to pay with my credit card but was informed that they no longer accept credit card as payments. Cash only. Good thing I had cash on hand. I need to remember the next time around to bring cash. It seems majority of Honu Snacks customers are paying with big bills. 18/100

Can you say WOW! I wandered in to this place looking for trail mix (LOL) and boy did I get a shock. It 's not that kind of snack place but woo hoo did I stumble on a Waianae gem. I ordered the shrimp with garlic and OMG what a party for my tastebuds! Yum Yum! The cook was teasing me because I said I wanted just a little spicy . It was spiced perfectly and I didn 't count but had a good number of shrimp the whole portion was large, came with rice, corn and macaroni! Can 't beat that for $9. I 'll be back!

Yum! Stopped in here after snorkeling and it was delicious! They're still setting up shop but the food definitely hit the spot. I recommend trying their stir fry pork, the pork was flavorful and everything was fresh. Their loco moco was also great.
