I am heartbroken.I ordered my daughter, who has allergies, a cake for her birthday. I thought I found a bakery who could still give her a beautiful and themed cake, but vegan. I spoke with them on Monday about the cake details and they asked me to send them photos of my woodland theme. We spoke about my theme and the owner even recommended which photos I should send over. They also asked me to include in the email what I wanted written on the cake. I said I would email them immediately and I emailed them right after I got off the phone with them. Something told me to include extra details to remind them which customer I was, and I also included my cell phone. On Sunday, I came to pick up my cake for my daughter’s birthday. It had none of the details we spoke of, and nothing I included in the email. First, I made sure I sent the email, which I did, and then I confirmed the email address with the employee working. I proved to the employee that I sent the email. She called the owner to explain what happened, and I was told that the owner said I could just take this cake they prepared. I was hoping for a solution, remorse, any sense of care for the fact that I had depended on them for my daughter’s birthday. I got none of the above. The blame was passed on to me and the owner by the employee, and I was asked to forward the email to the same address again. When I asked if there is any solution they could offer since I now don’t have the cake for my daughter’s birthday, the employee said she doesn’t know and she is closing in ten minutes, but she said the owner will call me. I replied that she very well should. I waited to see if they would help me at all while I called my husband. They made it clear that there was no care for their grand mistake. I took the cake and left in tears. The cake looked like one I could have purchased off the shelf in any grocery store, which I would have done if that was what I wanted and if this bakery hadn’t promised to deliver.I waited to review so that I didn’t do it rashly. I waited for the owner to call me. She didn’t. She emailed me and it was a cop-out, with them avoiding responsibility. I’m willing to share the entire email thread with anyone interested.I am not angry. I am heartbroken. I am deeply saddened by the way the situation was handled: how they did not care that they did not deliver on their promise. It was more about hating if a customer is dissatisfied than actually caring that they did not deliver. All I can keep saying is “they did not care.” I understand that mistakes are made but they could have reached out since we discussed the design at length, if they truly did not receive an email. More so, they could have cared. That’s all. You could have cared instead of dismissing me. You could have cared instead of shifting the blame onto others. You could have cared instead of sending me a ridiculous email trying to cover up the incident. That’s all I would have asked for: for you caring that you did not deliver the cake which you promised.I am heartbroken.

Went in to order a cake for wifes birthday, owner is very nice, and helpful, bought some desserts while i was there and they are absolutely delicious
A couple weeks ago, I ordered a cake for my cousin's gender reveal party. It was the first time I ordered from Aloha Bake Shop and it won't be the last! The ordering process was easy and I was able to incorporate multiple ideas I found online. The most special addition was the beautiful rainbow on top to honor this rainbow baby. Inside, both the cake and buttercream filling were dyed blue. All the guests at the party (myself included) raved about how beautiful and delicious the cake looked and tasted. The price was also very reasonable. Thank you so much for creating this special cake and we look forward to ordering in the future.
