Pan Cherry Noodle House - Mandalay

Came here twice. the chirschnudelsuppe ta-ta-loo ordered. they understood. second time we ordered the mapo tofu, tasty! reminded us of eating in china. the place can do, but it is a beautiful mix of local and tourist.

This was the closest place of our hotel and although there were some bad reviews we had an attempt. the price was about 1500k to 2500k per participant good. good portions, not really big. lady understood vegetarian/vegan, menu had a veggie section (not huge) and eating was quite good. it is hard to know whether msg is used sparingly or not at many of these sites. had kung pao tofu and tofu picking senf curry. both were delicious. update: went back to another night for the second time. the coworkers still understood vegetarian/vegan, but eating in this night seemed to be off. the quality was not as consistent as before. came after an evening dinner this time hurried and it was only oily and almost tasteless. this place is clearly hit or miss, but they seem to definitely understand vegetarians who need a plus in a city that they may not familiar with and only need some cheap food.

Standard burmese menu. vegetarian options, and some vegan options listed with ingredients. medium sized schirr. Okay. the personal seems uninterested.

Everything was great from start to finish. We were seated right away and amazed at all the choices! The menu was very detailed, with pictures and included English. I’m so glad I got the sticky rice noodle, it’s so chewy just how I like it. They also have chicken wings served in three different ways which I also recommend. The decor was interesting to look at while we waited for our order to arrive.

Wide range of food with very good prices! This small restaurant which has a long history as well is one of the best places to eat in Madalay. Many dishes and relatively cheap. For a whole fried/steamed fish you’ll pay 4.5k or a noodle 2k. They don’t provide free rice or many side dishes which is ok! We enjoyed the tasty food here
